• Even another actor from Bollywood known as "Arjun Rampal" has been named after Arjuna. He is a leading actor of Bollywood. Yet we have no actors named after karna.

Even the actor that played Karna's role "Pankaj Dheer" in the 1980's TV serial "Mahabharata" said that he did not even know who Karna is. He thought that only Arjuna and Krishna's roles are worth playing in the Mahabharata.

Historic inscriptions found merit in Arjuna and not in Karna. Kings identified with Arjuna. 

• In Nasik Cave No.3, inscription No.2 (110–138 CE or alternate view, 130–159 CE), it is written about Siri-Satakani Gotamiputa: (quote)

"( Siri-Satakani Gotamiputa) who had inherited from a long line of ancestors the privilege of kingly music; the abode of traditional lore; the refuge of the virtuous; the asylum of Fortune; the fountain of good manners; the unique controller; the unique archer; the unique hero; the unique Brahmana; in prowess equal to Kama, Kesava, Arjuna and Bhimasena; liberal on festive days in unceasing festivities and assemblies; not inferior in lustre to Nabhaga, Nahusha, Janamejaya, Sagara, Yayati, Rama and Ambartsha ..."
