People (karn fan's, bhishma fans, hindus etc, indian's) expect me to show special respect and recognition to the lund chooser Bhishmaji yet they would never show that izzat to certain individuals or character's in Mahabharat and Ramayan.
Even though pandav hater's always disrespect/insult Dhristadyumn, Satyaki, Nakul, Arjun, Abhimanyu, Ghatotkaca, Sweta, Drupada, Bheem, Iravan, Yudhisthir and Srikandhi etc. These 12 people do not gain respect from the id!ots of the world.
Note - i will only give ten of his defeat's here because even i am not interested in really talking about it anymore, its kind of boring, i also most likely wont put that many photos in this post.
------------------
Begin.
1st defeat.
[Quote]
"mighty son of Jamadagni, filled with wrath, suddenly wheeling to my right, pierced me in the breast. At this, I swooned like a namard. And beholding me, reft of consciousness, my charioteer quickly bore me away from the field. And seeing me afflicted and pierced with Rama's weapons and borne away drooping and in a swoon, all the followers of Rama, including Akritavrana and others and the princess of Kasi, filled with joy, began to shout aloud!"
[End]
Quote;
Bhishma said "Regaining consciousness then, I told my driver Go where Rama stayeth! My pains have left me, and I am ready for battle!"
Logic - that charioteer had taken Bhishma away from the location of Parshupu$$y meaning it is a valid retreat. Also when Bhishma swooned a 2nd time then he did not retreat, so he has no excuse for his loss during the first swooning.
2nd defeat of Bhishma.
[Quote]
"Dhananjaya, the son of Kunti, pierced Bhishma in the breast with ten shafts although the latter was contending with all his prowess. And sorely afflicted with pain Ganga's son of mighty arms and irresistible in battle, stood for a long time leaning on the pole of his car. And beholding him deprived of consciousness the driver of his car-steeds, calling to mind the instructions about protecting the warriors when in a swoon, led him away for safety."
[End]
Proof that it was a defeat.
[Quote]
"After Bhishma had fled, leaving the van of battle, the illustrious son of Dhritarashtra hoisting high flag approached Arjuna, bow in hand and setting up a loud roar."
[End]
Again:
"That wonderful story which is heard of an encounter in the city of Virata between a single person on one side and innumerable warriors on the other, is sufficient proof of this. That ye all fled in all directions being routed in the city of Virata by that son of Pandu singly, is sufficient proof of this. Might, prowess, energy, speed, lightness of hand, indefatiguableness, and patience are not to be found in any one else save Partha."
Gangapootr admitting it;
[quote]
"In Virata's city, alone he fell upon all of us united together. That is a sufficient indication. Vanquishing in battle both Drona and myself excited with rage, he took away our robes. That is a sufficient indication."
[end]
Final Quote;
"It was by this hero of fierce deeds that Bhishma and Drona, along with Duryodhana, were vanquished. That achievement is his and not mine."
[end]
Logic - bhishma was also disrobed, stripped of his clothes completely like a randi.
Defeated a third occasion.
"Bhishma, beholding that best of men thus going away, struck him with arrows. And Partha, too, having slain Bhishma's steeds, pierced him with ten shafts. And abandoning Bhishma on the field of battle, having first slain his car-driver, Arjuna with a good-looking bow in hand came out of that multitude of cars."
[eNd]
Logic - Arjun wounded ganga's putra with 10 arrow's and killed 2 of his horse's, while ghulam and chutiya bhishma pitamaha failed to do even half of that to Arjuna.
=========
Bhishma's 4th defeat.
[Quote]
"Sweta in that combat cut off Bhishma's bow into ten fragments with ten arrows. Then aiming a plumed arrow made wholly of iron, (Sweta) crushed the palmyra on the top of the standard of the high-souled (Bhishma). And beholding the standard of Bhishma cut down, thy sons thought that Bhishma was slain, having succumbed to Sweta. And the Pandavas also filled with delight, blew their conches all around. And beholding the palmyra standard of the high-souled Bhishma laid low, Duryodhana, from wrath, urged his own army to the battle. And they all began very carefully to protect Bhishma who was in great distress."
[End]
Logic - here Bhishma was in dire need of protection, he is mostly clearly on the recieving end of this duel, he was losing, he was disarmed & his grandson asked an entire army to save him.
5th defeat.
[quote]
"O king, the son of Virata, then, smiling, joyfully took up a mace for Bhishma's slaughter, with eyes red in wrath, and resembling a second Yama armed with mace, he rushed against Bhishma like a swollen torrent against the rocks. Regarding his impetuosity as incapable of getting checked, Bhishma endued with great prowess and conversant with the might (of others), suddenly alighted on the ground for warding off that blow. Sweta then, O king, whirling in wrath that heavy mace, hurled it on Bhishma's car like the god Maheswara. And in consequence of that mace intended for Bhishma's destruction, that car was reduced to ashes, with standard, and charioteer, and steeds and shaft. Beholding Bhishma, that foremost of car-warriors, become a combatant on foot, many car-warriors, Salya and others, speedily rushed (to his rescue)."
[end]
Explanation - if bhishma didn't leave his chariot Sveta's mace would have either reduced Bhishma himself to ash or Bhishma may have died. The madarchod bhishma needed to duck, run, hide and dodge, he needed outside help from other people but Sveta did not need any such unfair support.
6th defeat:
Is because of Arjun on the 1st day.
[Quote]
"And then the combat commenced between Bhishma and Arjuna."
[End]
[another quoTe]
"And soon abandoning in that battle, Pandu's son (Arjuna) capable of drawing the bow with even his left hand, Bhishma rushed towards Drupada, the king of the Panchalas, surrounded by his host. And he soon covered his dear relative with innumerable arrows."
[Another enD]
Logic - He ran away from Arjuna who was being mild and nice to Bhishma here.
========
Now i am going to post defeat's of shri bhismacarya on day's 3 through 8.
Lost 2 bows in a dozen seconds.
[]
"Partha, taking up his celestial bow whose twang resembled the roar of the clouds, caused Bhishma's bow to drop down, cutting it off with his keen shafts. The Kuru warrior, thy sire, seeing his bow cut off, took up another and stringed it within the twinkling of the eye. And he stretched that bow whose twang resembled the roar of the clouds, with his two hands. But Arjuna, excited with wrath, cut off that bow also of his."
[]
Note: this may not be considered a loss, but it was indeed a poor performance/showing for him. Bhishma was clearly overpowered.
8th loss:
"Bhishma, and Drona and Duryodhana and Valhika, exceedingly mangled by the weapons (of Arjuna), beholding the sun withdraw his rays, and seeing also that awful and irresistible weapon called after the name of Indra spread out and causing (as it were) the end of the Yuga to appear, withdraw their forces for the nightly rest."
Comment - this's also from day three.
Proof it was a defeat.
[]
"Bhishma himself, have on battle, by the prowess of his own arms, been vanquished today by the angry son of Pritha, Kiritin, that one mighty car-warrior in the world."
Talking thus, O Bharata, all the warriors of thy side went to their tents from the field of battle. And all the combatants of the Kuru army frightened by Kiritin, then entered their tents illumined by thousands of torches, and beautified by innumerable lamps.

==
9th defeat.
[quote]
"Bhishma of mighty energy, creating in that battle a very river whose waters were the blood of foes, and quickly avoiding Subhadra's son, encountered that mighty car-warrior, Partha himself."
Explaining; this's from the fourth day and Bhishma decided on refusing to accept abhimanyus challenge, he was a pure coward like mahatma gandhi.
=
10th defeat.
Bhishma losing.
Day 10.
[Quote]
"Then confused cries of woe soon arose amongst the Matsyas, the Panchalas, and the Chedis, who were together rushing at that single hero. With large numbers of foot-soldiers and steeds and cars, and with showers of arrows, O scorcher of foes, they overwhelmed that single warrior, bhishma the son of Bhagirathi, that scorcher of foes, like the clouds overwhelming the maker of day."
[End]
=
Conclusion - bhishma is weaker than Shakuni, Akbar, Aurangzeb, Rana Pratap's brother Jagmal Singh & Rana Udai even Mir Jaffar could slap bhishma & teach him a lesson.
Droupadi and Sahadev had a son who would've defeated bhishma with great ease.
===
Cross references for Bhishma getting punked out everytime like hanuman alway's lost.
Quote 1;
"Resembling Sakra in prowess and Surya in energy, Bhishma the son of Ganga, of infinite might, had been overthrown in battle by Arjuna"
[End]
This was based on Kurukshetra.
===
Namard Bhishma was protected by not only prince Duhsasana but in his life many other kings protected Bhishma.
On the 8th day this's mentioned.
[quote]
"Meanwhile, Arjuna, not knowing that the son of his loins had been slaughtered, slew in that battle many kings who had been protecting Bhishma."
[end]
==
Inconclusive fight's.
Virat Raj and Bhishma;
[Quote]
"King Virata then pierced that mighty car-warrior Bhishma, with three shafts. And that great car-warrior pierced his (antagonist's) steeds also with three shafts furnished with golden wings."
[End]
It is also mentioned that arjun and ashwathama both interfered after this. It was a team on team duel.
My belief;
Though it is true that abstaining from $exual intercourse could prevent you from aging and growing weaker and it could preserve spiritual strength/energy the fact is that Bhishma was not a great warrior in Mahabharat.
Bhishma had Prasvapan Astra and Rudra Astra not Pashupatastra so his ignorant fanbase needs to understand the difference between prasvapan & pashupata.
Conclusion - bhishma was not a undefeated warrior, he is a clown whose been praised by has-beens, chutiyas and gandus.
The real powerful old men of Mahabharat would be;
1 - Guru Drona.
2 - Jarasandha.
Other than that Bhagadatta their would be an honorable mention in the form of king Vahlika.
He was older than Bhishma's father Santanu and was successful in killing king Senavindu & knocking out a guy like Bheem (who bhishma never knocked out with a arrow at all).
I rate Ashwathama, Satyaki, Ghatotkaca, Abhimanyu as being warriors better than him.
Why this post was made;
I am not very satisfied with this post for some reason but i decided to post it to ensure i have content each month. And my fans/readers have something to read. And so that IT CAN BE USED (copied from) as a debating resource by bhishma h a t e r s (those who have NAFRAT in their hearts).
