Why Dhrishtadyumna is superior to Karna as a warrior.

Over the past few months i have seen some idiots make posts like karna is the 4th toughest warrior yet these dumbasses ignore the simple fact that Karna was not better than Dhrishtadyumn, so i am going to prove it.
Their are instances where Dhrishtadyumn indeed overpowered sometimes defeated namard karnaji.

1) 12th day.
"The Panchala prince then, mounting upon his own car and taking up another bow, pierced Karna with three and seventy shafts, and uttered a loud roar."
Commentary: Like a father hits his son Dhrishtadyumna slapped karna 73 times and karna could just stand their like a chakka, namard, kutta, fudhu, coward etc. Karna did not have the ability to fight back he got bullied by Dhrishtadyumn.
2) 14th night.
(Dhrishtadyumn vs karna and 6 capable warriors):
"Indeed, all those mighty car-warriors quickly pierced the prince of the Panchalas. Thus was he pierced by these seven heroes in that battle exerting themselves for the rescue of Drona. The prince of the Panchalas, however, pierced every one of these heroes with three arrows. Indeed, Dhrishtadyumna, quickly pierced Drona himself, and Karna, and Drona's son, and thy son. Thus pierced by that bowman, those warriors, fighting together, pierced Dhrishtadyumna again in that encounter, uttering loud roars the while."
"Then Drumasena, excited with wrath, O king, pierced the Panchala prince with a winged arrow, and once again quickly with three other arrows. Dhrishtadyumna then pierced Drumasena in return with three straight arrows, in the encounter, which were equipped with wings of gold, steeped in oil, and capable of taking the life of him at whom they are sped. With another broad-headed shaft, the prince of the Panchalas then, in that battle, cut off from Drumasena's trunk the latter's head decked with bright ear-rings of gold."
"That head, with (the lower) lip bit (in rage), fell on the ground like a ripe palmyra fruit separated from the stalk by the action of a strong wind. Once again, piercing all those warriors with keen shafts, that hero, with some broad-headed shafts, cut off the bow of Radha's son, that warrior conversant with all modes of warfare. Karna could not book that cutting off of his bow, like a fierce lion incapable of brooking the cutting off of his tail."
"Taking up another bow, Karna, with eyes red in rage, and breathing hard, covered Dhrishtadyumna with clouds of arrows. Beholding Karna excited with rage, those heroes, viz., those six bulls among car-warriors, quickly encompassed the prince of the Panchalas from desire of slaying him. Seeing the latter in front of those six foremost warriors of thy side, all thy troops, O lord, regarded him to be already within the jaws of the Destroyer."
My commentary: If it was a one on one fight then Karna would certainly lose but thanks to his mentor (Dron) & comrades he managed a stalemate.
Who fought who? Dhrishtadyuman fought upto seven commanders (Karna, Duhsasana, Drumasena, Sakuni, Suyodhana, Drona, Ashwathama). Still he put up a better fight than karna ever could against any team, group etc. It was one lion (Dhrishtadyumn) vs seven insects.
3) 14th night.
Quote 1:
"Dhrishtadyumna quickly pierced Karna in return in that great battle, with five shafts, and addressing him, said, Wait! Wait!' Shrouding each other in that dreadful combat with showers of arrows, O king, they once more pierced each other with keen shafts, sped from bows drawn to their fullest stretch."
Quote 2:
"Then the valiant Dhrishtadyumna, deprived of car, steeds, and driver, quickly jumped down from his car and took up a mace. Though struck all the while with straight shafts by Karna, the Panchala prince, approaching Karna, slew the four steeds of the latter. Dhrishtadyumna desired to proceed towards Karna. Dharma's son (Yudhishthira), however, bade him desist."
Commentary; [clearly Dhrishtadyumn created more injuries to karna over here, it is his win, but Yudhishthir saved his elder brother through persuading Dhrishtadyumn to leave his brother karna alone, another point is that Karna after this made the decision to blow his conch in an attempt to fool people, karna tards call sanjaya biased they are only right because this was termed a loss for Dhrishtadyumn when he proved that karna was useless]
4) 15th day.
Karna ran like usain bolt after Dhrishtadyumn killed his teacher Drona:
"Upon the fall of Drona, O king, the Kurus, afflicted with weapons, deprived of their leader, broken and routed, became filled with exertion, and deprived of energy through grief. Even the Suta's son fled away in fear, taking with him his own vast division, that was retreating with great speed with all its standards."
5) 17TH morning.
Quote: "Fierce became the battle that raged between the high-souled warriors of the two armies, in the space that intervened between Karna and the son of Prishata. Not a single combatant of either the Pandavas nor ourselves turned his face from the battle. Then Karna proceeded against the Pancalas with great speed."
Commentary: Karna was fighting Dhrishtadyumn (son of Prishata), but then he ran away to face the Panchal troops, because he knew that he is not able to defeat a Maharathi like Dhrishtadyumna.
6) 17th day.
Quote: "Then Dhrishtadyumna assailed the son of Radha with a straight shaft in that battle. The mighty car-warrior Karna, filled with rage, shook his foremost of bows called Vijaya, and cutting off the bow of Dhrishtadyumna, as also his arrows resembling snakes of virulent poison assailed Dhrishtadyumna himself with nine arrows. Those arrows, O sinless one, piercing through the gold-decked armour of the high-souled son of Prishata, became bathed in blood and looked beautiful like so many cochineal. The mighty car-warrior Dhrishtadyumna, casting aside that broken bow, took up another bow and a number of shafts resembling snakes of virulent poison. With those straight shafts numbering seventy, he pierced Karna. Similarly, O king, Karna, in that battle, covered Prishata's son, that scorcher of foes, with many shafts resembling snakes of virulent poison. The slayer of Drona, that great bowman, retaliated by piercing Karna with many keen shafts."
Commentary: Ashwathama (son of Drona) saved Karna here from Dhrishtadyumn. On one of the occasions Dhrishtadyumn injured karna 70 times that day. He always put karna in his place. As after the fight continued then Satyaki arrived both warriors began dominating karna so his frenemy had to save his a$$ again.
------------------------------
Weapons of Shree Dhrishtadyumna.
1) Pramohanastra "applied that fierce weapon called Pramohana and engaged with thy sons, O king, like Indra with the Danavas in battle. Then those heroic warriors were deprived of their senses, their minds and strength afflicted by the Pramohana weapon. And the Kauravas fled away in all directions, with their steeds and elephants and cars, beholding those sons of thine deprived of their senses in a swoon like those whose hours had come."
"Then Drona, possessed of great energy, that foremost of all wielders of weapons, heard of thy sons being deprived of their senses in battle with the Pramohana weapon. And that mighty bowman viz., Bharadwaja's son of great prowess, there beheld Dhrishtadyumna and Bhima careering through the field in that dreadful conflict. And that mighty car-warrior beheld thy sons deprived of their senses"
2) Brahmastra "Then the mighty car-warrior Dhrishtadyumna, of immeasurable soul, invoking into existence the Brahma weapon, caused the steeds of his own car to be mingled with those of his foes"
Conclusion: These two weapons put him above the biggest idiot karna.

Dhrishtadyumna defeated Dronacharya:
"Dhrishtadyumna piercing Drona with three arrows, quickly cut off the latter's bowstring with a sharp arrow. Throwing down that bow on the earth, heroic Drona, that grinder of Kshatriyas, took up another that was exceedingly tough and strong. Checking Drona with his arrows, the mighty car-warrior Dhrishtadyumna began to destroy the Kaurava host, like Maghavat destroying the Asura army. During the slaughter of thy son's army, O sire, a terrible river, having blood for its current, began to flow."
My commentary: the sher and mard called Dhrishtadyumn had to fight off a whole army at the same time that he fought Drona he was also fighting eleven fuck!ng aukshounis (2,405,001). He was clearly tougher than Drona, Karna, Bhishma, Parshuram.

Dhrishtadyumna slayed Karna's friends on the 12th day:
"Dhrishtadyumna also taking up a sword and a bright shield; despatched Charmavarman and also Vrihatkshatra, the ruler of the Naishadhas."

Why i am not showing evidence for Dhrishtadyumn defeating Ashwathama, Drona, Kritvarma etc?
Answer: Because i deleted those screenshots from Bori CE & i am not going to look all over KMG Mahabharat for them. I have posted one incident of him beating Drona up but their are alot more in Mahabharat i just dont want to spend more of my time on this stupid topic.

Karna ran like a b!tch:
Beholding his own army routed while being slaughtered by those illustrious heroes, thy son, well-acquainted with words, O monarch, quickly repairing unto Karna & Drona wrathfully said these words "You are beholding with indifference the slaughter of my army by the forces of the Pandavas, if you now abandon me, you should have, in the beginning, told me of it." Thus pierced by the goad of speech of thy son, those two heroes (karna & drona) once more engaged in battle, like two snakes vexed with sticks.
Analysis: Dhrishtadyumn was kicking the ass of Duryodhan's army he saw his friend karna running like a pu$$y so he cried to karna so karna would not run away this time. Karna with his mentor Drona refused to engage in the fight as they were afraid of shree Dhrishtadyumna but Duryodhan convinced them to go their.

Karna's opinion about himself & Dhrishtadyumn:
"Similarly, the son of the Panchala king is engaged with Drona. He is encompassed on all sides by many heroic and foremost of car-warriors. If we can slay Satyaki and Dhrishtadyumna, the son of Prishata without doubt, O king, victory will be ours. Surrounding these two heroes, these two mighty car-warriors, as we did the son of Subhadra we will strive, O king, to slay them, viz., this son of Vrishni's race and this son of Prishata."
Conclusion: Consider su!c!de if you consider karna a better fighter. He knew he could never defeat the man fairly so he told his friend to punk out and fight Dhrishtadyumn instead but with a large group of warriors to team up.

WHY HE IS AN UNDERRATED FIGHTER/WARRIOR.
Dhrishtadyumn defeated Suyodhan:
Quote: "The high-souled Dhrishtadyumna quickly took up another, and with it, sixteen broad-headed arrows. With five he slew the four steeds and the driver of Duryodhana, and he cut off with another his bow decked with gold. With the remaining ten shafts, the son of Prishata cut off the car with the upashkara, the umbrella, the dart, the sword, the mace, and the standard of thy son. Indeed, all the kings beheld the beautiful standard of the Kuru king, decked with golden Angadas and bearing the device of an elephant worked in jewels, cut off by the prince of the Pancalas. Then the uterine brothers of Duryodhana, O bull of Bharata's race, rescued the carless Duryodhana who had all his weapons, besides, cut off in that battle."

Suyodhan defeated Bheema:
"Then Duryodhana having pierced the mighty Bhima with six arrows pierced Visoka in return with three other sharp arrows. And Duryodhana, O king, as if smiling the while, with three other sharp arrows cut off at the grasp the resplendent bow of Bhima in that battle." [1st quote]

"Aiming a terrible shaft blazing as Death's rod, the Kuru king, excited with rage struck Bhimasena between his two breasts. Deeply pierced therewith, and greatly pained, he sat down on the terrace of his car. And while seated on the terrace of his car, he swooned away. Beholding Bhima thus unmanned, the illustrious and mighty car-warriors of the Pandava army, headed by Abhimanyu could not bear it." [2nd quote]

Bheema defeated Bhishma:
"Indeed, Bhima alone, approaching Bhishma, encountered him in battle. Then in that encounter between Bhima and Bhishma, a fierce and terrible uproar arose among all the troops (of the Kauravas). The Pandavas then, filled with joy, uttered leonine shouts. During that destructive carnage, king Duryodhana, surrounded by his uterine brothers, protected Bhishma in that battle. Then that foremost of car-warriors Bhima slew Bhishma's charioteer. Thereupon the steeds no longer controlled, ran away from the field with car."
Events: First Bhima shot arrows, then duryodhan's brothers came to save Bhishma's life, after that Bhima killed the driver of Bhishma, then Bhishma ran away like Parashuram would run from Indra's son Jayant, Ram would run from Sugreev's brother Vali, this is the truth. A source is below.

Bheema defeated Karna:
"Beholding, however, that son of Radha now defeated by Bhima in battle, what did my son Duryodhana next do?" [words of Dhritarashtr] "Beholding Radha's son of the Suta caste turned back from the fight in that great battle." [words of Sanjaya]
Further quoting: "Then after Karna's defeat, Bhimasena began to rout the vast Dhartarashtra host." Source: https://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m08/m08050.htm

Logic & maturity: Karna & Bhishma were defeated by Bheema who in turn got defeated by Suyodhana, who also lost to Dhrishtadyumna so Dhrishtadyumna should be ranked above Karna, Bhisma, Bheema, Parashuram, Suyodhan (duryodhan) etc.

Who else is he stronger than?
Answer: Considering the obvious facts i have presented Dhrishtadyumna had a weapon with the same sleeping effect that Sammohanastra did so he could win against Parashuram too. He is stronger than Drona, Bhishma, Parashuram that much is certain. If i had to make a list of warriors in the Pandava camp then Arjuna would be at the top followed by Satyaki then Ghatotkatcha after him Dhrishtadyumna is the 4th.
I would not consider bringing Abhimanyu, Yudhishthir, Nakula, Drupad or Bheema in the comparison as its hard to compare Abhimanyu to Dhrishtadyumna, while Bheema has a lack of nuclear weapons, Drupad lacks achievements outside of adi parva where he beat karna's @ss, Nakula & yudhisthir are not tough enough to be in top ten or five warriors.
Thanks to the Brahmastra he would easily defeat Hanuman in one second, and he can also slaughter all the vanaras of Ramayan including Vali, Samnadhan, Gandhamadhana, Sugreev, Angad, Nila, Jambavan etc. He could also kill commanders of Ravan's army like Prahast, Atikay, Kumbhkarn, Nikumbh, Akampan, Dhrumaksh etc but he would be defeated eventually either by Meghanad or Ravan as these two have defeated even Ram a few times.
Dhrishtadumym would also be defeated by Ram, Lakshman, Indra etc, however he could win against Dashrath, Timidhwaj, Ashwapati & other Kshatriya characters.

Why did he fail to defeat Jayadratha & Bhishma?
Answer: Because Dhrishtadyumna was not at full power against Jayadratha he could not use the same weapon twice he already used Pramohanastra formerly he no longer has it once he has used it once, unlike other fighters in the war Dhrishtadyumn had limited resources.
He was unable to defeat Bhishma due to the fact that Bhishma would always get his life spared by Dhrishtadyumna the reason Dhrishtadyumna pretended to lose is because of his sister Shikandi who wanted Bhishma for herself, she wanted to kill him so Dhrishtadyumn would leave the childless eunuch Bhishma alive & let him claim victory each time.
Why did he kill a unarmed Drona?
Answer: Because Drona basically gave up & stopped fighting he threw down his own weapons a simple answer to a dumb question asked by salty fuckbois.

Dhrishtadyumna defeated karna 5 to 6 times. The reason a 6th is debatable is because in chapter 169 karna fled without fighting he just looked at Dhrishtadyumn and then ran away like a kutta runs from shers.

His special ability just like the character of Sosuke Aizen from Bleach Dhrishtadyumna could use a weapon that would manipulate the senses of his opponent in a battle its called "Pramohana".

But the reason !ndians will always suck the d!ck of Hanuman, Karna, Bheesma over a real man like Dhrishtadyumna is because his d!ck is too big to be shoved down the throats of indians so the other three namards will always have more supporters, fans, bhakts, even though they dont deserve them.

Anyone that disagrees can go fu*ck themselves. Go and suck on hanuman's shrimp d!ck ya cu^nt.

Bhagadatta was not the son of Narakasur.

Narakasura's father is Vana:
"O Karna, the slayer of Vana and Bhumi's son (Naraka), Vasudeva himself, who hath, in the thickest of battle, slain foes equal and even superior to thee, protecteth the diadem-decked Arjuna."
Source: https://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m05/m05062.htm
Bhagadatta's dads father is Sailalaya:
"After the same manner, king Sailalaya, the grandfather of Bhagadatta, attained to the region of Indra by the power alone of his penances."

Defeats of Karna from Kashidasi Mahabharat.

Arjuna:
"Karna then invoked an arrow and shot that, which Arjuna cut off. Whatever weapons Karna shot were cut off by Arjuna. Arjuna then cut off the chariot of Karna. Seeing Karna defeated, the other kings rushed to Karna's rescue but could not stand in front of Arjuna." (Swayamvara)
"Arjuna having the knowledge of divine weapons fired arrows which hit Karna. Karna fainted on the chariot. Karna's charioteer fled with Karna." (Virat war)
http://kashidashimahabharat.blogspot.com/2016/11/arjuna-and-karna-fight.html
"Karna said Let me see your skills. Use all your weapons on me. See if you can do anything. Arjuna said If you had some shame you would not have said this. I killed your brother and you fled. Arjuna and Karna then began fighting showering arrows on each other. Arjuna then killed the charioteer of Karna. All weapons finished, Karna has no option but to leave the battlefield." (Virat War)
"The defeated warriors Drona, Bhishma and Karna also came there. Arjuna then remembered a weapon which could put people to sleep.  He used that. All on the field went off to sleep including the animals." (Virat War)
"Karna then faced Arjuna. Karna and Arjuna started fighting, shooting weapons at each other. Karna took got wounded and had to leave. Arjuna then killed multiple soldiers." (Day 14)
"Seeing this, Arjuna renewed his attack. Karna came to assist Ashwatthama and all had to flee, as they could not stand Arjuna's attack." (day 16)
"In the camp Karna was ashamed of having to flee from Arjuna. Duryodhana said If I knew you would not be able to win the battle for me, I would have taken refuge with the Pandavas." (night 16)
"Seeing his son dead and also remembering defeat in the hands of Arjuna, Karna decided to kill Yudhistira." (day 17)
Bhima:
"Picking up the elephants by their trunks, Bhima began hurling them in the air. Karna seeing this rushed there. Seeing Karna, Bhima went and killed the horses of the chariot with his fists. He then kicked the chariot which broke. Karna then fled from there." (day 11)
"Bhima then flung his mace, breaking the chariot. Ashwatthama fled. Bhima tried to chase him. Seeing this, Karna stopped Bhima by showering arrows at him. Bhima using his mace crushed Karna's chariot. Karna got another chariot and fled." (day 12)
"Karna stopped Bhima. Bhima cut off his chariot and his weapons. Karna then fled." (day 14)
"Karna came again, and Bhima began shooting arrows at Karna. Karna fled again." (day 14)
"Bhima then attacked Karna. Karna cut off Bhima's bow. Bhima then hit Karna with his mace. Karna fell on his chariot." (Day 17)
"Duryodhana and Karna were seeing this. Karna tried to control Bhima but could not. Bhima ran around, his face smeared with blood. Thinking this was a rakshasa, anyone who came close to him, ran away." (Duhsasana vadh)
Abhimanyu:
"Seeing this, Karna got angry., He started shooting arrows at Abhimanyu which the young prince easily cut off. Karna could not also stand in front of Abhimanyu for long and had to flee."
"If Karna had to face defeat in his hands, who do you think and defeat him? If you want to defeat Abhimanyu, then you will have fight using unfair means. Do not forget that this is Krishna's nephew. He will be  able to defeat all, alone." (Drona mentions it)
Ghatotkatcha:
"Seeing all perplexed, Karna decided to attack. Ghatotkacha smashed Karna's chariot and Karna barely managed to save himself.  Ashwatthama then came but could stand the might of Ghatotkacha." (Night 14)
Chitrasen:
"Chitrasen said he was pleased to see the skill of Karna. He then released a few arrows which hit Karna and he fell senseless. While Karna was trying to get up, the army attacked Chitrasen but the gandharva cut off all the weapons of the army. Karna then began showering weapons. Chitrasen then understood that to combat this, magic would be needed. He then made himself invisible and then started showering arrows. Unable to fight an invisible enemy, the army was soon vanquished. Unable to fight, Karna soon gave up."
"In a war with Chitrasen, Karna, Dushasana and Salva had fled the battlefield."
He failed in the Swayamvara:
"Karna then got up. He went and picked up the bow with his left hand. He bent the bow on his knee and tied the bow string. He then shot an arrow which also struck the Sudarshana Chakra and fell down."
"The brahmanas started laughing. The bow that could not be handled by warriors like Jarasandha and Duryodhana, and where people like Drona and Karna had failed, what could a mere brahamana achieve."
Kavacha Kundala could be cut off:
"Saying this, Karna took a sword and then cut off the armor and the earrings from his body."
His character and personality.
Karna traded the armor for a weapon:
"Karna said I know of a weapon that you have that will never miss its mark. Give me that. Indra gave that to Karna, and left with the armor."
Insulted his guru Drona after his death:
"All were in shock on hearing off Drona's death. Karna said to Duryodhana - The Guru had become old and was weak. Leave the Pandavas to me. I will get them for you."
Krishna's last words to karna before karna's death:
"Hearing this Krishna said - At times like this, the evil become preachers. You were an aide of Duryodhana and Shakuni in all evil deeds, Where was your preaching when the kingdom of the Pandavas was taken away? Where was this when the plans to burn the Pandavas alive happened in the house of Lac? Seven of you surrounded Abhimanyu and killed him. Where was justice then?"
Told Dhritarashtra to send Pandava's out of Hastinapura:
"The king called  Dushshasan , Karna and Shakuni and asked them what to do. They said send Pandavas away in some ruse."
Karna was namard in Kashidasi aswell.

About karna's wives.

Karna’s wives find mention 7 times (something that karna fans never knew, but i knew because i like to tell the truth about karna and not lies).
1. Dyuta ParvaWhen Karna claims that sons and wives are slaves can earn nothing of their own accord and are dependent. http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m02/m02070.htm
2. Vana ParvaWhen karna tells Suryadev that his wives are not as dear to him as Suryadev is. http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m03/m03300.htm
3. Udyoga Parva: When Karna rejects the offers of krishna saying that all his family rights have been done with the sutas. He had an arranged marriage not a love marriage. http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m05/m05141.htm
4. Bhishma Parva: When karna meets Bhishma on his death bed he talks to him and tells him about how his wives are not as important to him as Duryodhana is. http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m06/m06124.htm
5. Karna Parva: When Karna sells his wives to the foot soldiers of the Pandavas army to locate the whereabouts of Arjuna. http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m08/m08038.htm
6. Karna Parva: When Arjuna claims that he can no longer restrain himself, or hold back and how he feels sorry for the wives of karna as they will become widows now. http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m08/m08087.htm
7. Stri Parva: When karna’s corpse is mutilated and eaten up by animals, beasts & vultures then his wives talk about how Arjuna is cruel. http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m11/m11020.htm
Vaisampayana and Vyasa's reasons for not telling the names of these two wives of Karna (he only had two) are simple they were irrelevant and not important to the story:
"In that great battle of the Kurus came hundreds of thousands of monarchs for fighting against one another. The names of the innumerable host I am unable to recount even in ten thousand years. I have named, however, the principal ones who have been mentioned in this history.'"
http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m01/m01064.htm
The texts of Indonesia were traded with India before the time of the british unlike Kmg Mahabharat. The Indonesian Mahabharat says that Arjuna was the secret lover of Karna's wife. Karna had only one wife, she was a daughter of king Shalya her name was Surtikanti:
"Dewi Surtikanti, marries with Karna. They have two children: Warsakusuma and Warsasena. Surtikanti’s love to Arjuna is turned down. She marries Karna, the half brother of Arjuna, because Karna looks like Arjuna." https://www.boloji.com/articles/8527/variations-in-indonesian-mahabharata-2

This answer was deleted by quora moderation 1.

A overrated and useless battle formation given too much importance in TV serials and popular fictions based on the Mahabharata.
This chakravyuha did not help the Kauravas or the Pandavas in any instance, it was easily a handicap and caused more harm to the Kuru army than good.
It means: “any circular array of troops” Sanskrit Dictionary for Spoken Sanskrit
Drona claimed that this formation couldnt be penetrated by even gods:
“Today I will also form an array that impenetrable by the very gods.”
Here is its description:
“On the other hand, the array formed by Drona, O king, looked resplendent. Indeed, that array was incapable of being looked at like the sun himself when in his course he reaches the meridian and scorches (everything underneath).”
It was described as a formation which could not be gazed/stared upon. Somehow it was invisible to the human eye.
Why yudhishthir ordered Abhimanyu:
“Beholding Drona advancing in rage. Yudhishthira thought of diverse means for checking his progress. At last, regarding Drona incapable of being resisted by any one else, Yudhishthira placed that heavy and unbearable burden on the son of Subhadra.”
The son of Subhadra is Abhimanyu, it was believed by Yudhisthir that no one else could check Drona besides Abhimanyu.
Here is the plan of Yudhishthir -
"Yudhishthira said, 'Break this array once, O foremost of warriors, and make a passage for us. All of us will follow thee in the track by which thou wilt go. In battle, thou art equal to Dhananjaya himself. Seeing thee enter, we shall follow thee, protecting thee on all sides.'
Here is the plan of Bhima -
"Bhima said, 'I myself will follow thee, and Dhrishtadyumna and Satyaki, and the Panchalas, and the Prabhadrakas. After the array once is broken by thee, will enter it repeatedly and slay the foremost warriors within it.'
They wanted Abhimanyu to break the Chakravyuha then make a pathway for them, to enter after him and then protect him.
The plan was foiled by Jayadratha but in the end it didn’t do anything well for the Kauravas, they killed one warrior (Abhimanyu) yet lost more than 25 percent of their army (which would be millions of warriors).
“The boy of mighty arms having penetrated the impenetrable array, shall range within it fearlessly and send a fourth part of the hostile force, in course of half a day, unto the regions of the king of the dead.”
I call this formation (Chakravyuha) useless because of how much the Kauravas lost just to kill one man. What happened? What did they gain? They only lost. This is no victory its another defeat.

Shalya respect thread.

He is the character who Krishna considers superior to his own three students (Krishna was “Parshuram” in a previous life):
“I think that the ruler of the Madras is in battle equal to Bhishma or Drona or Karna, or perhaps, superior to themI do not, O ruler of men, even upon reflection, find the warrior who may be a match for Shalya while engaged in fight.”
Anyways Krishna may have either been lying or telling the truth but the fact is that he held Shalya in a high regard, believed him to be a very powerful warrior.
He was an all rounder, one of the few supreme mace fighters in the epic. His encounters with Bhima prove this fact.
Incident 1 (11th day)
“Struck by the ruler of Madras with his mace on both the left and the right side, Bhima moved not in the least, like a hill riven by the thunder. Similarly, the mighty ruler of Madras, struck by Bhima with his mace, patiently stood still like a hill struck with the thunder. Both of them, with upraised maces, endued as they were with great impetus, fell upon each other, coursing in shorter circles. Quickly nearing each other, then by eight steps and falling upon each other like two elephants, they suddenly struck each other with those maces of theirs made entirely or iron. And each of those heroes, in consequence of the other's impetuosity and violence being struck with each other's mace, fell down at the same instant of time like a couple of Indra's poles.”
Note that both him and Bhima became unconscious, think about how much physical strength Shalya would have.
Incident 2 (18th day)
“The noise made by the blows of the maces of those two lions among men was heard on all sides like successive peals of thunder. Having ceased for a moment, those two warriors of great energy once more began, with uplifted maces, to career in closer circles. Once more the clash took place between those two warriors of superhuman feats, each having advanced towards the other by eight steps, and each assailing the other with his uplifted iron club. Then, wishing to get at each other, they once more careered in circles. Both accomplished (in the use of the mace) they began to display their superiority of skill. Uplifting their terrible weapons, they then again struck each other like mountains striking each other with their crests at the time of an earthquake. Exceedingly crushed with each other's mace in consequence of each other's strength, both those heroes fell down at the same timelike a couple of poles set up for Indra's worship.”

Inconsistencies with the character of Ashwathama.

Feats of Ashwathama
1) He killed three aukshounis.

Drona Parva Section 131 -
"He was like the illustrious fire, consuming beings at the time of the destruction of a yuga. He severely consumed one akshouhini of nairritas88 with his arrows, like the god Maheshvara burning down the city of Tripura in the sky.89"
Drona Parva Section 131 -
"While Bhimasena, Hidimba’s son, Parshata, the twin warriors, Dharma’s son, Vijaya and Achyuta looked on, within an instant, he used sharp arrows to destroy one akshouhini of rakshasas, with their horses, charioteers, chariots and elephants."
Drona Parva Section 172 -
"An entire akshouhini had been killed, burnt by the maya of that weapon and their forms could not be distinguished.79"
2) He shot a million arrows.

Yudhishthir defeated Drona.

Drona Parva Section 132 -
When that weapon was destroyed by Yudhishthira, Bharadvaja’s son hurled varuna, yamya, agneya, tvashtra and savitra weapons.104 He was extremely enraged and wished to kill the descendant of the Pandu lineage. However, the mighty-armed one, who knew about dharma, was not frightened. He used his weapons to destroy all the weapons that had been hurled by the one who had been born in a pot. The one who had been born in a pot wished to fulfil the pledge that he had made.105 O descendant of the Bharata lineage! He released the aindra and prajapatya weapons.106 He wished to kill the son of dharma and was devoted to ensuring your son’s welfare. The lord of the Kurus107 possessed the gait of an elephant and a lion. He was broad in the chest and his eyes were large and red. His energy was not inferior.108 He invoked the mahendra weapon109 and destroyed those weapons. On seeing that his weapons had been destroyed, Drona was overcome with anger. Wishing to destroy Yudhishthira, he unleashed the brahma weapon.110 Everything was covered in darkness and we could see nothing. O lord of the earth! All the beings were full of great terror. O Indra among kings! On seeing that a brahmastra had been invoked, Yudhishthira, Kunti’s son, used a brahmastra to counter it. At this, all the foremost of warriors praised those bulls among men. The great archers, Drona and Partha, were skilled in all forms of fighting. ‘“Drona abandoned Kounteya and attacked Drupada’s soldiers.

Inconsistency with Ashwathama’s character in authentic versions of mahabharata.
Even though Ashwathama defeated Ghatotkaca many times, he himself lost to Ghatotkaca (once he lost during day time when Rakshasas are weaker).

Ashwathama defeated Bhima once, http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m07/m07197.htm and stalemated him another time http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m08/m08015.htm. Yet he did so many group attacks on Bhima, even teaming up with Drona, Karna, Duryodhana etc.
(12th day) http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m07/m07030.htm
Ashwathama fears for his life when he fights Abhimanyu, Arjuna etc in war. But he claims to be immortal (even before the death of karna, upapandavas etc) so why does he fear for death?
http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m08/m08088.htm
http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m07/m07046.htm
Ashwathama advised Duryodhana for peace with the Pandavas after the death of Duhsasana, yet still Ashwathama continued to wage war against them.
http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m08/m08088.htm
Ashwathama killed Ghatotkatcha’s son, then tells Ghatotkatcha that he does not want to kill him because he is the son of a man that his age (Bhima). http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m07/m07152.htm But then why does Ashwathama kill Ghatotkatcha’s son who was the grandson of Bhima? Why does Yudhishthira claim Ashwathama is older than him (thus older than bhima too)? http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m05/m05083.htm
Ashwathama called Sakuni the uncle of karna in virata parva, insulted Duryodhana, said he won’t fight Arjuna (yet still faced him many times in both wars), and said Karna dragged Draupadi (in Sabha Parva Duhsasana/Pratikamin did that though).
A agneya-astra of Ashwathama was able to destroy a Aukshouni of the Pandavas, how come whenever this astra was used by another warrior it did not even cause a fraction of the damage that it did when Ashwathama used it?

So Ashwathama has alot of inconsistencies in his character.
