This post as the title suggests will be about a Ramayan character who is one of the lesser known sons of Ravan, he is yet another warrior underrated, overlooked by popular fanfiction & a warrior stronger than Hanuman, Karna, Bhishma combined. This post is also meant to be used as a debating resource that a reader can copy or paste content from against any one in a argument.
Feats prior to the lankan war.
1) Atikay was a very energetic mard:
"Hearing the words of Trishira, Devantaka, Narantaka and the energetic Atikaya were rejoiced of war."
"Then, Atikaya, having very fiery energy, the son of Ravana and the foremost among the wielders of bow, mounted an excellent chariot."
2) Atikay was well-equipped:
"Atikaya mounted that chariot, having first-rate wheels and axles, well-yoked, having a good carriage and pole, filled with quivers and bows and flashingly full of missiles, swords and maces."
"Bows adhered with golden backs in his excellent chariot are shining on all sides like a rainbow in the sky."
3) Crushed the pride of danavas & devtas combined:
"devadaanavadarpahaa = and who removed the pride of celestials and ogres;"
4) Obtained many vardans from shri Brahma:
"Atikaya of great splendour, having boons bestowed by Brahma the lord of creation, having appearance of a mountain and who removed the pride of celestials and ogres, was enraged."
"He, endowed with a boon by Brahma the lord of creation, is cloaked by inviolable armour. Split him with a missile of Brahma. He cannot be killed by any other means. The mighty Atikaya, with that armour, cannot be destroyed by other missiles."
"He, endowed with a boon by Brahma the lord of creation, is cloaked by inviolable armour. Split him with a missile of Brahma. He cannot be killed by any other means. The mighty Atikaya, with that armour, cannot be destroyed by other missiles."
"He, who purified his soul by meditating on the universal soul, worshipped Brahma the lord of creation, obtained missiles too and conquered the enemies."
"Brahma, the lord of creation, granted a boon, exempting him from death at the hands of celestials and demons as also this wonderful armour and the chariot shining like the sun."
"Who is he, resembling a mountain in size, armed with a bow, brown-eyed and seated in a spacious chariot yoked with a thousand horses?" (question of shri Rama to chirkut Vibeeshan)
4 drivers needed:
"His large chariot, with its flag and emblem, with its axle-tree at the bottom, and having the sound of a cloud's lightning, consists of four charioteers."
6) Became a great warrior as he was considered equal mighty Ravan:
"To him, there is a valiant son, equal to Ravana in combat, who serves elders, holding that which is heard from them and skilled in the use of weaponry."
7) He was an all-rounder basically an expert at everything:
"He is respected for his counsel, for his rides on the backs of horses and elephants, for his drawing out of the sword and the bow, for his strategy winning over to his side by sowing dissention negotiation and bribery and for his steering capacity of an army. He is Atikaya, the son of Dhanyamali. Lanka is feeling fearless, by resting on his arm."
8) Atikay even defeated the Yakshas, not just danavs, devtas etc:
"He conquered the celestials and the ogres several times, destroyed Yakshas the supernatural beings and defended the demons."
9) With ordinary arrows he could nullify the Vajra (weapon) of Indra (same weapon knocked out Hanumana):
"He is Atikaya, who paralyzed the thunderbolt of the intelligent Indra with his arrows."
10) Using a normal arrow Atikaya baffled varuna's noose:
"He struck down the noose of Varuna, the seizer of transgressors."
Battles that he participated in the war of lanka.
1) Frightened the vanars by appearance alone:
"Seeing the bulkiness of his body, all the monkeys, thinking that Kumbhakarna woke up again, took refuge with each other, afflicted as they were, with fear. Seeing his form appearing like Vishnu who strided over the three worlds in three steps, the those renowned monkey-warriors with fear, ran away hither and thither."
Point; due to the largeness and size of Atikays body everyone thought Kumbhkarn was resureccted, but no rambhakt, hanutard ever speaks about the legendary achievement of this mard.
2) Even Ram was startled upon seeing Mahabali Atikaya:
"Then, Rama saw from a distance, Atikaya, who resembled a mountain in size, stationed in a chariot, armed with a bow and rumbling like a cloud appearing at the time of universal dissolution. Seeing that Atikaya, having a colossal body, Rama for his part was quite surprised and after consoling the monkeys, spoke to Vibhishana."
3) Atikay defeated five captains of the vanar tribe:
Seeing him with a terrific body, seated in the chariot, as the excellent one among the charioteers, powerful chiefs of monkeys rushed towards him. Taking trees and mountain peaks, Kumuda, Dvivida, Mainda, Nila and Sharabha marched forwards quickly to attack him at once. Atikaya of great splendour, the foremost among those skilled in weaponry, chopped off their trees and crags with his arrows decked with gold. That strong and skilled Atikaya with a terrific body, struck all those monkeys, facing in front of him in battle with arrows fully made of iron. Those overthrown monkeys, injured with their blown out bodies, by the shower of Atikaya's arrows in that great battle, were unable to retaliate on him. That demon, who was arrogant of his youth, frightened that army of monkey-warriors, as an enraged lion frightens a herd of deers. [END QUOTE]
Point to be noted that one of these captains (NILA) gave Ravan a better and harder fight than any hanumana, sugreev etc did at sarga 59 of yuddh kand. So when Nila combining his power with 4 other captains could not do much against Atikay it shows that Atikay would have easily killed hanuman if they ever had a fight.
4) Shri Ram compared Atikay to Shiva:
"He is shining like Lord Shiva surrounded by genii, with resplendent and sharp spikes, with very sharply barbed javelins and lances. He is shining like a lightening cloud and moving round with staffs which support the banners of the war-chariot, appearing like tongues of the Time-Sprit."
5) Every vanar (including hanumanji) ran like a kutta leaves upon the sight of a tiger when Atikay made his entry in the war:
"O the long armed! Tell me who this foremost of demons is! On seeing him all the monkeys, afflicted with fear, are running away in different directions." [Ram asking Vibeeshan about shri Atikay]
6) Atikaya had frightened the invaders of lanka to such an extent they believed the entire vanar army would either be destroyed in a short span of time or that they would lose a significant portion of their army very soon if they dont slay Atikay immediately:
"O Rama, the foremost of men! Therefore let the effort to destroy him be made quickly. Otherwise shortly, he will bring in destruction for our army of monkeys, with his arrows."
7) Had the skill necessary to shoot five arrows at once (making him superior to Bahubali):
"Atikaya was very much enraged and fitted five arrows to his bow. That demon hurled those arrows towards Lakshmana."
8) Atikay was very resilient:
"That valiant Lakshmana, by a flat-jointed arrow released fully, struck it on the forehead of that excellent demon. That arrow, sunken into the forehead of that terrible demon, smeared with blood, appeared like a serpent-king on a mountain. The rakshasah, tormented by Lakshmana's arrow, then trembled violently."
"That demon of great strength, recovering his breath." "Atikaya bent down with his large shoulder, ascended the top of his chariot and roamed about hither and thither by his chariot."
Point to be noted; shree atikaya was equipped with an armor but his head was one of the many vulnerable parts of atikaya's body unprotected by that equipment, despite having arrows impaling his brain this superhuman warrior was able to survive and fight back in such a way where even laxman was nearly defeated!
9) He used sixteen arrows at once, placing them on his bow and releasing them all simultaneously like a sher:
"Atikaya, the foremost of demons, seized hold of one, three, five and seven arrows and fixed them to his bow, stretched it and released the arrows. Those arrows, released from the bow of Atikaya, the leader of demons, appearing as Death, with golden shafts and shining like the sun, set the sky ablaze."
Logic; five plus seven plus three plus one all of it adds up to 16.
10) Exposed Laxman's weak point.
"Perceiving those arrows being chopped off in battle ravan's son was enraged he took out a sharp arrow. That Atikaya, of great splendour, fixing that arrow to his bow and by instantly releasing it, struck the approaching Lakshmana in the middle of his chest. Struck in battle by Atikaya in his chest, Lakshmana oozed out blood severely, like the fluid exuding from a rutting elephant."
Note: consider the fact that most of the offences, attacks, attempts to cause an injury have been done by atikay so far, which means he has used up more of his stamina, reserve strength and energy, unlike laxman who played defence, also this atikaya character had fought mutliple vanars before confronting sree laxman... So Atikay was not even at his peak when he more than equalled laxman, overpowering him thus.
11) Attributes of his armor;
"Reaching Atikaya, those arrows with the points of their shafts shattered on his armour, adorned with diamonds and instantly fell on the earth's surface."
"Seeing those arrows becoming unsuccessful, the highly famous Lakshmana the annihilator of enemy-warriors, showered forth arrows in thousands."
"Atikaya, that mighty demon, though deluged with a flood of arrows, was not agitated in battle because of the inviolability of his armour."
"Lakshmana, the best among men, was not able to afflict any injury to Atikaya in battle."
"Lakshmana, the best among men, was not able to afflict any injury to Atikaya in battle."
12) Atikaya easily knocked laxman out cold:
Atikaya released an arrow having a serpent-like form on Lakshmana. Struck by that arrow on his vital parts, that Lakshmana, the tormentator of his enemies, felt unconscious just for a moment.
Logic - this is the 2nd time he overpowered the beloved brother of rama.
13) Well rounded sree Atikay was able to use all weapons:
Seeing that blazing arrow, looking like Yama the lord of Death and black in colour, approaching him, Atikaya then struck it with spike, spear, mace, axe and arrows.
------------------------------------
Atikay's divine weapons.
Suryastra
"Atikaya of great splendour took up a solar missile and employed it on that arrow, having a golden shaft as also looking like a serpent."
Tvashastra (arrow constructed from a material known as "cane")
"Atikaya released an arrow made of cane (a missile) presided over by Tvasha."
"Atikaya was quite enraged and fixed his arrow with a missile presided over by Yama the lord of retribution."
----------------------------------
Atikay quotes.
"I am seated in the chariot with arrows and a bow in my hand. I would not give battle with any common warrior. He who has ability and energy can give his fight to me now and here quickly." (words to Ram)
"O Lakshmana! You are still a boy. You are ignorant of a fight. Why do you wish to fight with me, who is like Yama the Lord of Death? Go away."
"Even the Himalayan Mountains or the sky or the earth would be unable to endure the speed of arrows released by my arms."
"You wish to arouse a fire of dissolution, when it is sleeping happily. Placing your bow here, go back. Do not lose your life, by fighting against me."
"If you do not go back, with an obstinance, then you rather stay back. Abandoning your lives, you will reach the abode of Yama."
"See my sharp arrows decked with pure gold, which can remove the pride of my enemies and which are like the weapons of Ishvara the lord of destruction."
"This arrow looking like a serpent will drink your blood as a lion drinks the blood of an elephant."
"Well! By flying down an arrow, you have become a commendable enemy for me."
-----------------------------------------------------------
FACTS;
2) Atikay was a better fighter than Laxman.
3) Atikay could easily kick hanuman out of the universe and kill him. Ending the life of this ape.
4) The third best lankan warrior is Atikay, after him Kumbhkarn gets fourth spot.
5) Atikay had better quality of armors than karna, drona, suyodhan.
-----------------------------------------------
Their needs to be a granth called "Atikaya Parva" (book of Atikay). He is more worthy of respect than pajeet hanumana, karna, bhishma & laxman.
My prabhu and lord is Atikay.
JAI ATIKAY!
Atikay was a brave warrior that protected his families kingdom. He deserves alot more respect and recognition, only 2 tv serials ever showed the character of this real man one is the 1980s Ramayan of Sagar and the other is the 2008 tv show.
Atikay was better than Parshuram as a warrior. He put up a better fight against Indra.
ReplyDeleteit seems like the 2 inch penis of hanumans faltu devotees are not capable of debating a real man like me... thats why they are choosing to run away
DeleteAtikya is like a insect infront of lord prashuram,🤣🤣🤣🤣that coward Rakshasas is not even equal to the foot of prashuram, bhargav will slay atikay in a blink of an eye with his prashu, prashuram I the favourite disciple of lord shiva ,ans he is the incarnation of lord vishnu, comparing a demon like atikay with mighty bharga prashuram will be a insult to him..
DeleteIt looks like aborted baby of ravana bhakts ,rapist and nanuraj, mahabhagoda can only bark in comment section and can abuse..lol you are the one who is deleting everybody comments...
DeleteNo one deleted your comments PAJEET
DeleteBut the fact is that hanuman and parshuram are very weak they wont last 2 minutes in a duel with mighty warriors like Atikay
Even Sahadev was better than Hanuman
Nakul defeated karna's son, who was more powerful than parshuram
Parshuram list:
1st - Nakula (strongest)
2nd - son of karna (i forgot the name of that karna's son on day 18) (but i know his companion was another Chitrasen who is not gandharv)
3rd - weakest (Parshuram)
Parshuram would be defeated by Dhrishtadyumn, same Dhrishtadyumn has lost to Kritvarma, and Kritvarma lost to Satyaki
Parshuram is more of a COMEDIAN not a fighter his job is to make jokes, like the fake curse that he gave to karna as that curse failed to take effect
hanuman is worthless than my tati
