Why StarPlus Mahabharat (SPM) sucks part 6.

=
Intro - Much like before this post is also not as long as i originally intended it to be it was my desire to reach at least episode 60 but i miserably failed, still i got a decent amount in here so i will share it. I did make it only to episode 52 but the amount of analysis is greater in terms of quality rather than quantity. So its a worthwhile post to read. Especially for anyone that dislikes Star Plus Mahabharat.

48th Episode.
In this episode Sakuni comes to Hastinapore and tells Bhishma he made this dice out of the ashes of his father.
But it clearly is false as in the former episode (number 47) he was carving the piece of a bone to forge a dice out of it.
{proof}
Now the time skip is officially over so Drona makes his entry, he looks like this.
Notice something? He has not aged.
[Image.]

How Drona is portraid in the "Adi Parvatext;
"Drona accompanied by his son, dressed in white (attire), with a white sacred thread, white locks, white beard, white garlands, and white sandal-paste rubbed over his body, entered the lists. It seemed as if the Moon himself accompanied by the planet Mars appeared in an unclouded sky."
He's supposed to have white hair.
This's shown better in Ramanandan Sagar's "Sri Krishna" tv series.

Episode 48 (part 2):
In the 3 minute 50 second mark of this episode Bhishma said their's a tradition that after a prince gains education in gurukool then they demonstrate their art and knowledge infront of multiple guest's and citizens of the nation/kingdom. The REASON THIS'S A MISTAKE is that we never saw this tradition happen in former episodes of the tv serial. Like whenever Bhishma, Pandu, Dhritrashtra finished their education, or even Vichitravirya. So Bhishma saying this line was just another inconsistency and error in this rubbish garbage tv serial.

- An error is done by the same Bhishma who is overrated in this TV serial, the writing team decided to make Bhishma accidentally call Sakuni a prince of gandhar instead of its king, how could the student of parshuram, the most overrated clown & namard of this epic make such a mistake?

Another issue is that starplus's writers and editors and director's (whoever wrote the script) are trying to make it seem as if Sakuni was the one who made a decision for why their should be a tournament for deciding the worthiness of any potential heir to the throne (aka "Yoovraajh").

But in Kmg Mahabharat Sakuni was not involved;
{Quote}
"O best of Kuru kings, thy children have completed their education. With thy permission, O king, let them now show their proficiency."
{End}

It was Drona who made the suggestion to Dhritrashtra (who accepted it) & Vidur helped him (Drona) make arrangements for this tournament.

Quote:
"Vidura, giving the necessary assurance to the king, went out to do what he was bid. And Drona endued with great wisdom, then measured out a piece of land that was void of trees and thickets and furnished with wells and springs. And upon the spot of land so measured out, Drona, that first of eloquent men, selecting a lunar day when the star ascendant was auspicious, offered up sacrifice unto the gods in the presence of the citizens assembled by proclamation to witness the same."
[End]

Another issue is that Sakuni told Purochan that he is a very small man (in ranking/status not famous or popular) so thats the reason Bhishma won't have any suspicion of him.

Yet in the actual Mahabharat book Purochan was a famous architect on par with May Danav (the father of Mandodari, a man that defeated hanumana in kishkinda kandam of Ramayana) & Vishwakarma (the one who made vijaya dhanush of karna, indra, parshuram, rukmi etc).
So he cant be a random irrelevant person. According to Madhvacharya's script Purochan was the incarnation of Prahasth (general to Ravan's army). In Mahabharat of Vyasa/Souti he was a peer to Vishwakarma in architecture.

(a image of purochan);
Final issue is that dhritrashtra [once the family walked into the tournament region] claimed their were multiple kings/prince's that arrived as guests to witness the fruits of training {whichever skills that'd been acquired} of the kouravas & pandava's. But after everybody took up their positions (seated-position's) then their was not a single foreign king (any prince or king not belonging to Hastinapore) in that zone (are in which people sit down to watch the tournament.)

49th episode.
Issue A - Dushala told Gandhari that Nakul used to always make her laugh when they were kids, but the issue with this is that she was never seen interacting with or talking with nakul at all in any earlier episode. So it's a dumb issue created by the writing team of this TV SHOW. And it is also very disgusting and biased to make it look like the women in the kourav side never disliked or hated any pandava's. Just cause Dushala's a female she is being portayed in a positive light as someone who doesn't hate the pandavas.

Issue B - ? the law of the tournament had been established earlier that no competitor/participant is allowed to shed anyone's blood. So it is unfair as Nakula used twin sword's a sword clearly is meant to either sever a limb or shed blood, so nakula has to be more careful otherwise he would break a rule, duryodhan on the other hand has it abit easier as his mace doesnt shed blood.
{Image}

Issue C; the fight between Nakul/Duryodhan lasted only a minute and ten second's that is too short, it should be ideally at least 2 minutes at most 3 minutes especially when Dhritrashtra said that talk of the prowess of the participants in this tournament would be legendary and immortalized as people will talk about the tournament till the end of time.

ISSUE D; Sahadev 1st comes into the tv series with longer hair, yet in most photos found of him (Lavanya Bharadwaj the actor playing Sahadev) on the internet he is found with shorter hair their wasn't a point in showing him with long hair first.
[ImagE]
Issue E: The next issue i have is that the fight between them (duryodhan & sahadeva) was only 75 seconds long (1 minute and 15 second's). That is clearly not long enough.

ISSUE F - Sahadev telling Nakul that Ashwathama gave them the name "Pandavas" is clearly not a good thing. If the writing team desired to give importance to the sons of Madri then they could have done it a better way (even if its just fan-made). The name Pandava is most likely a combination of the word "Pandu" & "Yadava" it is more logical to do that. Or they (script-writer's) could've just chosen to copy Sarala Das's Mahabharata re-telling (where the pandavas kill a demon named Pandava right before their father Pandu dies) as a explanation for why they gained the name.

Issue G - Bhishma (during the 15 minute marking of this episode) said that he is helpless before Dhritrashtra's order. So my issue begin's with this, as in later episodes he is shown rebelling against Dhritrashtra, resisting his orders even threatening to have him removed from the throne too.

Also in a former episode Bhishma was the one who used force (by threats) to make Dhritrashtra send Duryodhan to the gurukool of Drona. So Bhishma's line/character fails to make any sense.

Issue H - The fight between Yudhisther & Suyodhana has a major flaw, and that's cause Duryodhan (suyodhana) attacked him under his belt with a mace. Thats against rules of fair play.
{gif}
So then why would it be a issue in this TV SERIAL for Bheem to attack Duryodhan below the belt when he kills him in Kurukshetra? The dharam sankat does not exist cause their is no logic in star plus.

Issue I - when Duryodhan asked a sarcastic question to Yudhisthir (who did your CHARITRA HEEN mother gain you from?) then his word's had been heard by ear's of Kunti, Vidur & Bhishma despite being from such a far distance away from him, so if they could hear that then why did none of them hear what Sakuni told Duryodhan earlier about instigating Yudhisthir?

I guess i will give Starplus a brownie point (praise/credit) cause their only good fight was Duryodhan vs Yudhisther nothing else, but 99 percent of star plus is bad & a disgusting series.

50th episode;
Issue 1 - In the 2;59 mark (for those who can't understand English it mean's 2 minutes & fifty nine seconds) Ashwathama informed his father Drona that Arjun will be unable to make it to the tournament. This is an issue because it's an indirect mention of the plan to make Arjun get buried to death by debris or whatever wooden material that bridge/roof has been made out of. So Drona knows that his son Ashwathama was involved in a crime.
Yet he did not punish ashwathama. Even if he know's that arjun will survive still its basically foul play, and the organizer of the tournament (Drona) is letting it happen as in this tv serial though the idea was given by Sakuni still the challenges (for all competitors) were made by Drona.

Issue 2 - Raj Kumari Duhsala praising Bheem & taking his side (like a sports team fan) made no sense, it was a stupid change in the script of this tv serial.

Issue 3: The actor that plays Bheem also looks disgusting, repugnant & like a fat slob. I cant stand seeing him on screen.
Issue 4; It's shown here that Duryodhan is aiming for places in Bheem's body which are below his belt. So its another breach of rules.
(Gif.)

Issue 5: When Duryodhan was being choked by Bheem he could have kneed him or hit him with a mace to his nutsack (area termed as "BALLZ" by humans in western countries in the 21st century).
(Photo.)
Issue 6 - Ashwathama's moment is taken away & given to my man Drona instead, i like drona's character but this was supposed to be something that Ashwathama does, so it is unfair and wrong for Star Bharath to do this.
[Image.]

51st episode:
Issue 1 - in the former episode Duryodhan told Sakuni that his mace would be useless against arrows of Arjuna, yet in this current episode he is able to deflect arjuna arrow's with a mace.
[Gif]
Issue 2 - Dushala in a recent episode wanted to see her brother Suyodhana's ego/arrogance get hurt, but now that he finally is beaten by Arjuna then theirs no look of happiness or gratification on the face of Dushalah.
Starplus always fail's to stay consistent.

Issue C - the third one is that neither Arjuna/Karna look the way they should.
[Proof Karna]
Even the hairstyle of teen Karna does not match with adult karna, why would adult karna have a silver piece of jewelry when teenage Karna had golden jewelry instead?
[Proof Arjuna]
Did arjun use a skin-bleach?
Cause he was very dark skinned as a kid.
=
ISSUE D - At the 12;44 minute mark of this episode when Guru Drona was defending Karna from harassment then Karna started yelling at him and incriminating himself admitting his caste.

Issue E - Another annoying attempt was made to increase Bhishma's relevance & importance by spreading another fake story like Adhirath being Bhishma's chariot driver.

Issue F - Karna told Kripa that he is proud that his father (Adhirath) served Bhishma loyally. But this's a problem cause in this TV serial Bhishma supported the caste system, so this means karna is proud that his father was a slave to a high caste man who discriminates against other people based on their birth.
=
52nd episode.
Issue 1: Duryodhan mentioned that Bhishma conquered Anga in the past but if you follow kmg mahabharat's Sambhava Parva then its mentioned the conqueror of Anga was actually Pandu not Bhishma.
So if anything he should have taken the name of Pandu in place of the overrated Bhishma. Sadly the tv series is biased in favor of that cowardly namard.
Issue 2: During the 2 minute 52 second mark of this episode the writing team made the words "you do not have the right to even a needle's point of land" come from Bhishma's mouth, trying to fore shadow that Duryodhan would say something similar to that in the future (when he turns the peace proposal down at Udyog Parva).

It would have been better if Yuyutsu or Vikarna or even Sahadev said that instead. Or maybe one of the guests (un seen foreign kings & prince's). But the script writer's wanted to give Bhishma this attention instead which's dissapointing.

Issue 3; an extremely unrealistic scene occurred before the 8 minute mark and after the 5 minute mark, while karna is making a speech & having a conversation/moment with duryodhan then everyone including Arjuna, Bhishma, Drona, Vidur, Kripa are silent, they stood back like spectator's watching.

Issue 4 - their was no real technique/combat form involved in the duel between both arjun & karna in this episode's highlight fight.

Issue 5 - In the 12 minute mark of the video/episode Dhritrashtra claims that only a few moments are left until sun set but the obvious problem with this is that Dhritrashtra despite being a king & educated warrior is blind.
He can not tell whether it is day time or night time or even morning without a servant informing him, and so far the only servant he spoke to in the tournament (Sanjaya/Bhishma) never mentioned even one thing related to the time of the day.
Issue 6; If Karna has the ability to make a solar barrier or energetic sphere of protection around himself then what is the point of him needing the kavacha to defend his body and skin?

Issue 7: Also looking on the screenshot carefully u can all see that their were SOLDIER'S of Hastinapore stationed near Karna's vicinity. Meaning they were in the range of arrows that Arjuna fired, if karna dodged then a arrow might've touched a innocent soldier too.

Issue 8 - rather than taking the time & wasting budget on special effect's to make the armor disappear & then re appear later on it would have been better if Star-Bharat took notes from Ekta Kapoor's Mahabharat instead.
Cause Hiten Tejwani's karna had his armor on even when he slept, basically 24 hours. It never disappears until the trade deal with Indra.

Issue 9 - is for Kunti's maiden (the one who accompanied her like a sakhee) from Kuntibhoj's land to call her a princess instead of a queen made no sense. And its a wonder why this maiden friend of Kunti does not have a life, husband or family of her own to look after. Instead she follows Kunti for no reason, pretty disgusting.

  1. Unnecessary finding errors. It's waste of time of finding flaws in serial and movie.

    1. No. Its to show why people have VALID REASONS to dislike starplus mahabharat (the most overrated and overhyped TV SERIES based on mahabharat).
